After posting your entry form or completing an online entry you may not receive any further details until approx 1st week in June when the final details are emailed to all 1st team members and put up on the website. The final details reveals the exact location of the event centre and the extent of event area to be used. The event centre, car parking and camping will be open from 1600 Friday.

Car parking and camping for the whole weekend is also INCLUDED in the entry fee. There will be toilets, food, a bar and plenty of grass - there are only LIMITED shower facilities, so bring some deodorant!

Event centre opens from 0600 on the Saturday for latecomers.

All competitors must register before 0830 Saturday but we recommend early registration to prevent late queuing - i.e. Friday evening. When you register both team members must sign a disclaimer and we will require your car registration number.

Each team or solo is given an SI card (An electronic timing chip - see SPORTident notes below) and each person is given a map, and any last-minute details. The map will have many details over-printed, including; checkpoints, out-of-bounds areas and tracks, permissive (in-bound) tracks, start and 'give-out'.

Kit is not checked at registration. At the event centre there will be food, drink and trade stands selling kit you may want or have forgotten.

Start times each day will be given at registration and are anytime between 08:00 - 10:00. The Sport Ident equipment will record your exact start time.

From the start, a described route will lead to a 'give-out' area where competitors are handed a list of checkpoints that are open for that day, each with a description and value (the same happens on the Sunday).

Teams then plan a route (planning is in competition time) according to their ability and cycle to as many (or as few) of the checkpoints as possible in the time limit of 7 hours, finishing the day back at the event HQ campsite

Teams then repeat the process on Sunday but for 'only' 5 hours riding. Teams should plan within their capabilities and the prevailing weather conditions. For late arrivals at the finishes - after 7 (or 5) hours, penalty points are applied, on an increasing scale - see below.

PENALTIES for arriving late
1 min - 10 mins over - 1 point per min
11 mins - 20 mins over - 2 points per min
21 mins - 30 mins over - 5 points per min
31 mins - 60 mins over - 10 points per min
Over 1 hour late - lose day's total points

Off-Road Sportive riders. You will follow the same registration process as the ‘Score’ riders, receive your map with marked routes on, and move to the start line at your given time. This is a sportive ride, not a race, there will be no mass start, it is simply you against the clock and the course. You will be mixed in on the start line with ‘Score’ competitors - the difference is you will not need to pick up a list of control points, and you head straight out on your marked route.
